Congratulations to ZetaSafe MD Andrew Dobbins and his wife Michelle, who completed the London Winter Run on Sunday 4th February 2018 in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Andrew Dobbins says, “We had been looking forward to this race to start the year off but I ended up hurting my leg the week before and I thought I would only be able to walk around slowly; as it happened, I was able to muster a bit of speed sufficient to nearly keep up with Mrs D in the end! Despite the bitter cold, it was a super event, well organised and for a great cause on iconic roads and around some of our customers!”
“Sunday 4 th February marked our fourth Cancer Research UK London Winter Run and we’ve been overwhelmed by the numbers of you keen not to be beaten by the winter. You will be part of the UK’s largest mass participation winter event and the largest 10k in London. Places sold out just after New Year, taking us to 20,500 of you getting excited to be on the start line.”
In the 1970s, less than a quarter of people with cancer survived and today half will survive. Cancer Research UK supports research into preventing, diagnosing and treating all types of cancer, with the aim that three in four people will survive the disease within the next 20 years.
